This week we want to honor and congratulate two senior cheerleaders who have been cheering on the Tigers from day one! Tessa and MacKenzie over the years have been a staple for the cheer team and leaders on and off the sidelines. Their commitment and dedication has brought them success and awards throughout their career and will carry with them as they pursue their dreams after graduation! Congratulations to Cory Harper on being named this weeks ATHLETE OF THE WEEK.
Cory has been turning in stellar performances all season and is one of the reasons the Tiger team is having one its best years as of late. Cory had a career high 32 points this past Saturday against Philip-Barbour getting the win. He chipped in with 14 last night to beat rival Buckhannon Upshur and improve their record to 13-3! Congrats to Cory and the entire Tiger team!

ATHLETES OF THE WEEK
EHS Boys & Girls Swim Team
This week we honor the boys and girls swim teams at Elkins High. The boys team captured the Big 10 Conference Championship title last Saturday at the Bridgeport Sports Complex. It was a full team effort with Isaac Anger setting 2 new Big 10 records in the 50 Freestyle and 100 breaststroke. Brother Luke took 2nd in the 100 Butterfly, Charlie Smoak took 3rd in the 500 freestyle, Braxton Kenney and Andres Masten took 3rd and 4th in the 100 backstroke and Isaac Whetsell took 4th in the 200 IM.
The girls team came in 5th place out of the 10 team championships meet. Isabelle Judy placed 4th overall in the 100 breaststroke and 200 IM. Joselyn DeWeese, Kaleigh Edwards, Ruby Jackson and Isabelle Judy took 3rd and 4th place in the 200 medley relay and 400 freestyle relay.
Congrats to all the swimmers on an exciting and successful season! Good luck to the Tigers in Regionals!
