This week we congratulate the Seniors on the EHS CC Team. They have had and continue to have an awesome season with many individual and team wins and accomplishments! This past week the boys finished 4th overall in the Big 10 Conference Championships.
Charlie Smoak captured 1st place overall in the race and was named Big 10 Runner of the Year! It was his 6th top place finish of the year. Luke Anger came in 6th overall in the Big 10 Championships! This Thursday at Davis & Elkins College, Elkins will host the Class AA Region II championships! Good luck to all the Elkins Tigers who will compete and congrats to an awesome year!!!

Over the next several days we are highlighting and honoring our Tiger Seniors. We are so proud of all our senior athletes and can not thank them enough for their continued commitment to hard work and their success!
The Lady Tiger soccer team will finish their last home game tonight at 5:30 against Philip-Barbour HS. Come out and cheer them on in their final home game!!

This group of seniors have seen a lot over the past several years. The ups and downs of Covid, not having an official home game all last year, and a new coaching staff. These young men have worked hard, over come adversity and shown why they are and will continue to succeed in life! Tonight they finally get that home game as seniors and we want to congratulate and wish them the best of luck! Come out tonight as the Tigers take on North Marion in the first of many games at the new Elkins High field!! Go Tigers!!!

In honoring our seniors this week we are proud to name Tessa and MacKenzie as our Female Athletes of the Week. Their high energy, school spirit, and leadership qualities have proven why they have been successful over the years and will continue beyond high school!! Congrats to these ladies and we wish them the best of luck in the future!!

This week we take to the links and honor the EHS Golf team on a terrific season and their best match as a team this season during Regional play. The Tigers finished 4th at the Class AA Region II golf tournament and Coach Baird said it was the best 18 holes of golf they have played this year.
Junior Tanner Miller once again qualified for States making it back to Wheeling for the second consecutive year! We want to wish Tanner good luck at states and congrats to all of the Tigers on finishing the season on such a high note. We look forward to next year!

This week we honor freshman Addy Cogar as our female athlete of the week. Addy has been lighting up the scoreboard this past week. Scoring 2 goals in each of the last 3 games and helping the Lady Tigers put up wins against Grafton, Robert C. Byrd and Fairmont Senior. Coaches and opposing defenses are learning quickly that you have to know where Addy is on the field at all times. Congrats to Addy and the entire Lady Tigers soccer team.

Kaitlynn a senior volleyball player has been having a solid start to the fall season. She has been a leader this year on the court and earning the respect of her teammates. She continues to have great net play and court awareness. Congrats to Kaitlynn and the entire Volleyball squad!
Anna Belan is not new to our female athlete of the week and she is out to make her senior year her best year yet! The senior captain has been playing solid for Coach Cutright and last week she netted a pair of goals in the Lady Tigers win over North Marion. This past Tuesday the Tigers recorded their 9th straight victory (9-1) and are in action tonight. Good luck Anna and the Lady Tigers soccer team!
